A Steampunk Voyage : Wrath of the Ink-Black Sea

Project Overview:
This project is an exploration of dark fantasy and mythic creature design, focusing on the cinematic presence of a colossal sea titan. Inspired by gothic oil paintings, the goal was to capture a brooding, high-contrast atmosphere where ancient lore meets chaotic nature.

The Concept:
The scene depicts a colossal kraken rising from an ink-black, stormy sea. Every tentacle is meticulously detailed with textured barnacles and ancient, glowing runes to emphasize its prehistoric and mystical origins. The environment is framed by jagged volcanic islands and a violent sky crackling with unnatural lightning, while forgotten ruins submerge beneath the turbulent waves, adding a layer of deep visual storytelling.
